St. Lawrence Deck
The St Lawrence Deck is the main accommodation level on the Canadian Empress. On this deck can be found the St. Lawrence, Sterling and Premier Category staterooms. All staterooms on this deck are above the waterline with opening windows to the fresh river air. Also located on this deck is our Corner Store/Pursers Office. This is where you will find a nice selection of souvenirs a few toiletries and at the end of your journey this is where all outstanding accounts are settled.
All 8 Ottawa category staterooms are accessed from this level as are both of our outdoor observation decks. It is also on the Ottawa deck you will find our Grand Saloon. The Grand Saloon in its Turn-of-the-Century warmth is where all meals are served and all of our nightly entertainment is enjoyed.
Our passengers love the wholesome, generous and home-cooked meals, presented in our dinning saloon. To make mealtime's even more pleasant, easy informality of unassigned seating is complemented by a menu that is announced in advance. We will strive to accommodate restricted diet requirments (let us know at the time of booking)
The Grand Saloon decorated in early heritage style, from the ornate tin ceilings to the velour drapery to the warm wood tones this is the epicentre of the Canadian Empress. This is where all meals are served, and where all of the evening entertainment is enjoyed.
In the evening and after dining the Grand Saloon is transformed in to your private lounge. On each cruise, one of the highlights is the evening of big band sounds and dancing. On other evenings, light professional and fun-loving entertainment will add just the right touch to your cruise experience.
